Idols Live Concert

Well, we definitely had FUN at the Idols concert last night. All of those kids are SO very talented and did a great job! It was a fun show and it was definitely very family friendly which is great since I took my 6 year old. Abe loved the show and was pretty engrossed in the whole ordeal. Towards the end, he did get a little bit bored and we had a photo session. I have a guess that MOST of those kids in the Idol concert are going to be mildly famous. They really ARE a great bunch of singers. They definitely have promissing careers ahead of them. My favorites of the bunch are: Paul, James and Casey. They all did really great though and I can NOT stress that enough. Even though Scotty is not my favorite, I can bet he's going to have a great career in Country Music....The ladies seem to LOVE him ;) I will post some pictures of the show too. But please be advised that our seats were NOT in the close to the stage range and I did as good as I could.

What an Amazing Week!

Seriously! This has shaped up to be such a good week for me. I had a great day with all 3 of the kids at the Cushing Aquatic Center yesterday ( I know, I must be crazy to take all 3 of them to the pool) and they were actually really well behaved until Ike got sunscreen in his eyes and started sreaming like a banshee. That was our que to leave after TWO hours of fun. It was $10 well spent. Tonight holds more fun for Nana, Abe and myself as we will be going to the IDOLS LIVE concert in Oklahoma City tonight. This too is a first for me. I've always been a fan of the show, but have NEVER gone to the concert. I am most excited to see...Paul McDonald AND James Durbin!! I am sure the others are going to be great too, however, those boys ARE my favorites. It will also be Abe's FIRST real concert. He loves watching "The Singing Show" as he calls American Idol and I think he will really enjoy it (Or potentially HATE it). The next amazing thing to happen this week is that I actually received a response to a job I applied for, MONTHS AGO! I actually forgot about the job and applying for it as it's been at least 4 months. Ok, more about the job. It's actually sort of a "Dream Job" of mine....Are you ready for this. It's a job with Hallmark as a card stocker! How fun would that be? I love cards and they almost always seem to make people happy. I know that I LOVE to get an actual card in the mail. The best part about the job is that its 5 hours a week and I am hoping that I get all the free cards I want. If I get free cards, it will mean that Iwill have to become more considerate and ACTUALLY remember to send them out for holidays and special occassions. I have my phone interview on Sunday evening and am hoping that they offer this job to me. Wish me luck. The last fantastic thing about this week is that I am going HOME! Home is referred to as where I grew up, Minnesota. I've not been "home" in 2 1/2 years! It gets a little tricky to get home once you have kids and a husband. I have a great set of in laws and a great set of parents along with the most awesome husband who are enabling this trip to happen for me. I have a lot of people to visit that I've not seen in a long time and some business to take care of as well. I also have the Kanabec CountyFair to attend and a wedding of a very dear childhood friend. I leave THIS Friday and will return the following Sunday. I know it's a long time to be away from the kids but I've not seen a lot of my family for at least 2 years! I hope ya'all have a great week and I will try to post when I am gone, but if Iam NOT able to access any computers, I will fill you in when I get back.

And Hello to you, too.

Wow! It feels so weird to say that I am now a "Blogger"...I usually have entertaining stories to share and sometimes even a recipe or two. I really AM just your average housewife with a side of snide, sarcastic comments (meant to be funny of course, NOT offensive). I look forward to rambling on about my kids, husband and anyone else whom may become blog fodder for me. I hope you all will come along for this ride which is my life.
